Historic Mitchell FC camera Serial # 8  unbelievably all original, all serial numbers match.  This camera is the most complete we’ve seen in a very long time.  It still has the effects wheel, which includes iris, top, bottom, right and left mattes.  The camera also features adjustable top, bottom, right and left mattes.  Originally made by Mitchell Camera Corporation for the 20th Century Fox Grandeur 70mm wide screen format.

Vintage 400’ 35mm Bi-Pack Magazine made for Mitchell Standard Camera.  Dates back to the 1940’s, with small take-up wheels.  In good condition.  Came from major Hollywood special effects studio.                                   $350

Mitchell Standard # 50

Package includes the classic Mitchell Standard camera body # 50 all matching serial numbers (the L base is not numbered), Mitchell Side finder, original Selznick Organization 1000’magazine, Matte Box with support and filter trays, 1 lens, 3 lens port covers, and a hand crank.  This mainstay of Hollywood film production was for years the most desired movie camera in Hollywood.  Number 50 is in beautiful condition for its age with all the patina of a camera that has had a fabulous career making movies.  The camera is in shooting condition, a real show piece for any collection.

                                                   un-restored  $11,000.   restored  $12,000.

Only $12,000.

Developed at a cost of 2 million dollars for founder William Fox in the 1920’s.  The Grandeur system was Fox Film Corporations  entry into the wide screen picture business.  The Grandeur system was very well received by the film critics of the time but fell victim to the economy of the Great Depression.  Many pictures were shot in both

35mm and in the Grandeur System for showings in major movie theaters in New York, Hollywood, and around the world.  Titles like “Fox Grandeur News of 1929”, “Happy Days”, “Hudson River Bridge”, Song O’ My Heart”, and “The Big Trail”.  This camera was part of Hollywood’s  first push into the wide screen film world and a part of film history.

Bi-pack MagazineFox Grandeur Wide Screen CameraYOU CAN OWN THE CAMERA THAT SHOT ONE OF THE GREATEST MOVIES OF OUR TIME

We are very fortunate to offer this Panavision PSR R200 number 153.  Our research shows that this camera, PSR 153, was one of the cameras that shot principal photography on Star Wars episode IV, the worlds introduction to this amazing movie franchise.  PSR 153 is one of a very few Panavision cameras acquired directly from Panavision through a sale to one of America’s largest vintage motion picture equipment dealers. Email for Price Purchase. ordervsrm2itb@aol.com

PSR 153 was meticulously restored to original factory condition.  All the serial numbers between the movement and castings are matched and everything has been put into shooting condition.   The package includes the fully functional PSR R 200 number 153, a working Panaspeed motor, Panavision Power Cable, Panavision Block Battery, Panavision Matte Box with Eyebrow, 1ea. 1000’ Mitchell magazine, and Panavision cases for all.

This offering represents one of the rarest motion picture collectables ever offered.    First this is a working Panavision PSR R 200 camera, a piece of equipment almost never found in private ownership and if that wasn’t enough, the most outstanding part is the cameras history.  This camera worked on blockbuster films such as “The Mackintosh Man”, “Papillion”, and amazingly, one of the worlds most loved films Star Wars.  The cameras provenance and its working history make this camera one of the most valuable Hollywood collectables offered in years.
